Make lists of the following things. Read them every day and rewrite them, altering them appropriately as your self esteem improves.

- Your top 5 strengths; e.g. how friendly you are, how hardworking you are, how brave you are.
- Your top 5 favourite things about yourself; e.g. how you treat others, your taste in clothes, your relationship with your partner or family members.
- Your top 5 achievements in life up until now; eg things you’ve learned, aspects of your career (like a raise), your academic achievements, helping a friend get through a hard time.
- List 20 accompishments in your life – anything from learning to tie your shoes, to getting a drivers licence to graduating from school.
- 10 ways you can reward or treat yourself that don’t include food, drink or cost anything; eg going for a walk, looking around the mall, visiting a friend.
- List 10 things to make yourself laugh.
- List 10 things you could do to help someone.
- List 10 things you like doing – things that make you feel good about yourself.
